Gear Reviews

I love trying new gear, and love reviewing it to help out fellow adventurers. My reviews will come from the perspective of a small dog since it's being tested by one, but I highlight the positives and negatives and best applications of every item I review. While not every item we try is perfect for Robin, most of them are well-built and well-designed and might be perfect for your dog! I focus on the best applications of a product.

My reviews follow the following format:

Design: Basics about the design and construction of the item, as well as information about its intended use.

Fit: How the product fits Robin. I usually mention his measurements, but for a refresher you can check the measurements list on the home page. Even if your dog isn't shaped like Robin, fit may be useful for determining how the item will fit your dog's body type.

Function: How well the product does what it's supposed to.

Build quality: A lot of this gear isn't cheap, so I want it to perform well for years. Poor build quality is a big drawback for me and I"m pretty conservative in these rankings.

Summar: My overall numerical rating and thoughts.

Best for/Not ideal for: A quick summary of good and not-so-good applications of the product.
